Document Requirements

Valid passport (minimum 6 months validity, with at least 1 blank page)
Completed online visa application form (Visitor Visa)
Recent passport-size photographs (digital upload)
Proof of travel (round-trip flight tickets, itinerary)
Proof of accommodation (hotel booking or invitation letter)
Financial documents (bank statements, salary slips, ITR) showing sufficient funds (NZD 1,000 per month if staying without prepaid accommodation, NZD 400 per month if accommodation prepaid)
Employment proof (letter, leave approval, ID)
Travel insurance covering stay (recommended)
Cover letter stating purpose of visit
Previous travel history (if applicable)

Visa Process

Visit official portal immigration.govt.nz.
Create account and fill online Visitor Visa application form.
Upload documents and photographs.
Pay visa fee online.
Submit application and receive confirmation email.
Wait for processing (typically 20–30 working days).
Receive decision via email.
Visa grant notice is electronic – linked to your passport (no sticker required).
