Document Requirements

Valid passport (minimum 6 months validity)
Letter of Acceptance from a Designated Learning Institution (DLI) in Canada
Proof of financial support (bank statements, education loan, GIC certificate, sponsor letter)
Academic transcripts and certificates (previous studies)
English/French language proficiency test results (IELTS, TOEFL, CELPIP, TEF, etc.)
Immigration Medical Examination (IME) report (if required)
Police clearance certificate (if required)
Passport-size photographs (digital upload as per Canadian specs)
Statement of Purpose (SOP) / Study Plan explaining intent to study and return after completion
Family documents (if including dependents – marriage certificate, birth certificates)

Visa Process

Apply to a Canadian DLI and secure a Letter of Acceptance.
Gather documents (financial proof, transcripts, language test, SOP).
Apply online via the IRCC portal.
Fill Study Permit application form and upload documents.
Pay visa fee online (CAD 150 for study permit + biometrics fee CAD 85).
Submit application and receive confirmation.
Provide biometrics at Visa Application Centre (VAC).
Wait for processing (average 6–12 weeks, varies by country).
Receive Study Permit approval electronically, linked to your passport.
Travel to Canada – permit issued at the port of entry by immigration officer.
